Maine Families

provides free home visits to expectant parents and parents/caregivers with babies and toddlers. During regularly scheduled visits, our experienced Family Visitors use current, evidence-based information and a non-judgmental approach.

Maine Families believes that all parents and caregivers want the best for their families, but raising children is extremely challenging. Our experienced Family Visitors give you the space to explore your hopes and dreams for your family, learn how to care for your baby and yourself, and express your doubts and fears about your new role as a parent. We believe that confident parents raise confident children. During regularly scheduled visits, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, share your thoughts and experiences about parenting in a confidential space, and receive reliable information based on your interests and needs on topics such as healthy pregnancy, feeding, sleeping, child development, discipline, home safety, routines, community resources, school readiness, and age-appropriate activities.

Visits are always free and voluntary and can happen in the home or wherever works best for you.
