September 10th is 5% Day for The Opportunity Alliance at Whole Foods Market

Shop on Tuesday at Whole Foods Market and 5% of the Days Net Sales Go to TOA

(Portland) – In keeping with their long-held tradition of supporting and strengthening the communities where we all live, work, and raise our children, Whole Foods Market in Portland is donating 5% of September 10th's net sales to The Opportunity Alliance.   Whole Foods Market in Portland hosts its 5% Days four times each year. The Opportunity Alliance is proud to have been chosen as one of this year's non-profit  recipients.

Staff members from The Opportunity Alliance will be in the store to greet customers and tell them about the Agency's mission. The agency, headquartered at 50 Monument Square in Portland, is comprised of 50 integrated community based and clinical programs serving more than 20,000 people annually.  It provides advocacy and support for families and children, early childhood education and child care, nutrition programming, crisis intervention and prevention, substance abuse and mental illness treatment, information and referral, and community programming that strengthens neighborhoods.
