Gov. LePage Veteos Extended Fundng for Child Abuse Prevention Program

On Wednesday, Gov. LePage vetoed a bill that would protect a $2.2 million child abuse prevention program that is slated to be eliminated this fall.
The bill was approved unanimously in the Senate and by a 139-5 vote in the House to extend the funding through January 31st, 2019. The Legislature may be returning May 2nd to consider overriding bills that have been vetoed. For the full stories, click here for the Portland Press Herald and Bangor Daily News.
