This free app, designed to help people cope with urges to self-harm, is available on both Android and Apple.  You personalize the app by telling it what causes your urges and how long they last.  The next time you feel the urge to self-harm, click the app, and it will give you suggestions to comfort yourself or release your emotions.

Tara Brach is a psychologist and teacher of mindfulness meditation.  She focuses on emotional healing and spiritual awakening through mindful, loving awareness as well as the alleviation of suffering in the larger world by practicing compassion in action.  Her website contains dozens of guided meditations you can listen to.

The Trevor Project – Hotline, Chat, and Resources for LGBT+ Youth

Trevor has provided a national 24-hour, toll free confidential suicide hotline for LGBTQ youth since 1998.  They have a phone line, chat, text, and a space to ask questions, all handled by staff and volunteers specifically trained on LGBTQ issues.   You can call their hotline at  1-866-488-7386.
