STRONG Fathers' Father-Focused Parenting Classes

Strong Fathering is an on-going father-focused parenting education program. Men can start at any time, topics repeat every 12 - 13 weeks.

Topics covered include:

  • How we learned to be men vs. how we learned to be parents / Fathers & early learning / Understanding child development & temperament / Health & Safety / Nurture: the parent & child relationship / Structure: Routine, discipline & boundaries
  • Taking care of yourself in order to take care of your family

Thursdays, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Portland YMCA, 70 Forest Ave, Portland

Cost: $15 per week. Sliding scale available for those who need it. No one turned away due to an inability to pay.

 

Biddeford:

Strong Fathering Class
Wednesdays, 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
26 South Street, Biddeford

Cost: $15 per week. Sliding scale available for those who need it. No one turned away due to an inability to pay.
